Memphis, Tenn., March 1, 2012 – Memphis-based nexAir, LLC, an atmospheric gases and welding distributor, today announced the purchase of the assets and operations of Opelika Industrial Gases, LLC in Opelika, Ala.
By acquiring an already strong business, with a focus on customer service nexAir will be able to further serve southeastern Alabama, as well as expand its reach into southwestern Georgia. The branch will continue to operate at 308 Williamson Avenue in Opelika, Alabama and will offer a full line of welding equipment, supplies and gases to businesses in the region. DeWayne Jones and Steve Scott, the owners of Opelika Industrial Gases, along with the other Opelika Industrial Gases employees will become nexAir employees and will continue to be directly involved in serving customers in the region.
