nexAir Acquires Moore Oxygen Supply Inc.

New customers to benefit from continued service and operational excellence

Memphis, Tenn. (July 17, 2017) – nexAir, a leading distributor of atmospheric gases and welding supplies, today announced it has acquired Moore Oxygen Supply Inc., the Georgia-based supplier of industrial and medical gases and welding supplies. The transaction closed on July 14 and Moore Oxygen Supply customers will begin to be serviced by nexAir today and will not experience any disruption or delay of service.

“Both nexAir and Moore Oxygen Supply are multi-generation, family-owned companies, and we understand the importance of providing the highest quality of service,” said Kevin McEniry, CEO at nexAir. “We welcome our new customers to the nexAir family and look forward to enhancing the product offerings for all customers in the region.”

Founded in LaGrange, Georgia in 1965, Moore Oxygen Supply served hundreds of customers in Western Georgia and Eastern Alabama with industrial, medical and specialty gases as well as welding supplies and bulk liquid gas. nexAir will spend the coming weeks working with new customers to ensure a smooth transition of services and hard goods as well as implementing its culture of safety and efficiency across the expanded area. New customers will be granted access to the company’s seasoned industry expertise in industrial and specialty gases, welding supplies, automation trends and the latest welding procedures.

Third-generation, family-owned nexAir has grown to become one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the country. This acquisition bolsters the company’s footprint in the Southeastern U.S., where nexAir already operates several branches. Earlier this year, nexAir acquired the helium and industrial gas business segment of Volunteer Fire Extinguisher Co., a fire safety services company in East Tennessee.

nexAir to Move Headquarters to Crosstown Concourse

Company signs letter of intent to lease space beginning Spring 2017

Memphis, Tenn. (June 17, 2016) – nexAir, one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the United States, today announced that it has signed a letter of intent to lease office space in Crosstown Concourse , the mixed-use re-development of the former Sears, Roebuck & Company Crosstown catalog order plant and retail store in Memphis. The agreement signifies a move of nexAir’s headquarters, currently on Corporate Avenue, to the historic, 1.1 million-square-foot structure on Watkins Street due to open in early 2017.

With a lease agreement for 33,000 square feet, nexAir will be the largest for-profit tenant at Crosstown Concourse, which currently boasts organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Crosstown Arts and Christian Brothers University as future tenants. When completed, Crosstown Concourse will be comprised of galleries, shops, restaurants, corporate offices and loft-style apartments. Amenities include a 30,000-square-foot professional fitness facility, a ten-story atrium and several open plazas and green spaces.

“Our company was founded here in Memphis in 1940, and as we began to outgrow our current offices, we were looking to relocate somewhere that spoke to our city’s rich culture of innovation and creativity,” said Kevin McEniry, CEO at nexAir. “We look forward to moving to Crosstown Concourse and becoming a part of this exciting new community. Additionally, the vibrant new area will give our team members the opportunity to participate in the local music, arts and wellness scenes and further contribute to the revitalization of our city.”

After sitting vacant for more than 20 years, the former Sears Crosstown is being transformed into one of the largest historic adaptive reuse projects in Tennessee history. More than $200 million from philanthropic and private sources, as well as public funding, has been secured to complete the project. An estimated 3,000 people will pass through the building each day, making Crosstown Concourse a hub for commercial, artistic and civic activity in the city.

“We are elated to have nexAir join the Crosstown Concourse community in such a significant way,” said Todd Richardson and McLean Wilson, Co-Leaders of the development. “nexAir is one of Memphis’ strongest homegrown companies with a passionate leadership team that quickly embraced the vertical urban village vision. Their investment in Crosstown is another huge vote of confidence for center city Memphis.”

Construction of nexAir’s new offices at Crosstown Concourse is underway, and nexAir plans to move into the space in early spring of 2017. Approximately 65 employees will relocate to the new headquarters; nexAir fill plants, distribution centers and retail stores will not be affected by the move.
With nexAir’s move, the 620,000 square feet of commercial space at Crosstown Concourse is now 96 percent leased.

About Crosstown Concourse
Crosstown Concourse is the unprecedented regeneration of the historic Sears Crosstown building in midtown Memphis, TN. Building on three of Memphis’ strongest community assets—arts, education, and healthcare—Crosstown Concourse is being preserved and redeveloped as a mixed-use, vertical urban village with a purposeful collective of uses and partners, transforming a national hub for the distribution of goods into a local heart for the cultivation of well-being. Plans include restaurants and retail, health and wellness facilities, a high school, contemporary art center, commercial office, and a diverse range of loft-style apartments. nexAir acquires Air Liquide liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice facilities in Millington, Tennessee

Memphis, Tenn. (Jan. 27, 2016) – Memphis-based nexAir, one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the United States, today announced that it has purchased Air Liquide’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice facilities located in Millington, Tennessee. The transaction closed and nexAir assumed operations of the Air Liquide facilities earlier this week. The organization’s five employees will join nexAir’s Tennessee operations. nexAir will operate this business through nexAir Carbonic, a wholly-owned subsidiary of nexAir.

“We are looking forward to working with our new team members who will help us build nexAir’s dry ice offerings,” said Kevin McEniry, CEO at nexAir. “We are eager to begin serving our new customers and extending our Carbonic offerings across a broader geographic footprint.”

This acquisition increases nexAir’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice offerings to the Mid-South. The company’s existing nexAir Carbonic facility in Brandon, Mississippi already supplies dry ice to various food production and distribution facilities, healthcare clinics, research facilities, pharmaceutical companies, universities and labs, among others. Air Liquide’s customers at these facilities will be served by nexAir Carbonic and these additional facilities will grant new customers across a larger area access to the company’s seasoned expertise. In addition to its knowledge of industrial and specialty gases and welding supplies, nexAir has supplied customers with dry ice for the last 15 years.

nexAir will spend the coming month converting the Air Liquide facilities to nexAir Carbonic locations, implementing nexAir’s culture of safety and efficiency and serving customers in the manner they have come to expect from nexAir. For more information, please visit nexair Carbonic.

nexAir adds 25 new branches; increases footprint across Florida and Georgia

Memphis, Tenn. (Jan. 4, 2016) – Memphis-based nexAir LLC, one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the United States, today announced its merger with 23 Praxair Distribution Southeast, LLC (“PDSE”) branches located in Florida and southeast Georgia and the acquisition of two Praxair Distribution, Inc. (“PDI”) branches in eastern Georgia. The transaction closed on December 31, 2015, and nexAir assumed operations of the 25 branches as of January 4, 2016.

PDSE was formed in 1997 as the result of a joint venture between PDI and the George W. Fowler Company, a long time industrial gas distributor in Florida owned by the William B. Porter family. The family will take an ownership interest in nexAir with the closing of this transaction. PDSE will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of nexAir. The current nexAir management team will lead the overall venture and, together with the PDSE management team, will integrate these new branches into nexAir’s organization.

“PDSE and its predecessors have a long tradition of strong operations, solid customer relationships, and an outstanding group of dedicated employees in Florida and southern Georgia. The PDSE and two PDI branches in Georgia, are perfect fits for our growth strategy in the southeast,” said Kevin McEniry, CEO at nexAir. “We look forward to making these PDI and PDSE team members and customers part of our family.”

This transaction will strengthen nexAir’s footprint and offer customers in the strategic Florida and Georgia markets access to the company’s industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and supplies, as well as its dedicated sales team. As a result of nexAir’s joint venture with Praxair in 2012 and the company’s continued acquisition strategy, nexAir now has 67 branches across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

“nexAir is a highly successful packaged gas distributor in the southeast that has experienced significant growth and success . The union of PDSE and nexAir will allow customers in Florida and Georgia to benefit from our combined abilities,” said Doug Porter, president, PDSE. “Together we will have a stronger network and broader set of services for customers in this region.”

In addition to its knowledge of industrial and specialty gases and welding supplies, nexAir’s expertise in automation trends and the latest welding procedures will complement the services PDSE have provided to their customers.

During the coming months, the existing PDSE branches in Florida and southeast Georgia and the PDI branches in eastern Georgia will be rebranded with the nexAir name and nexAir and PDSE will combine their cultures of safety and efficiency across the entire combined operating territory.
