  • Rapid Repair Eliminates Interruption for ProcessBarron

Located in Pelham, AL, ProcessBarron is a global leader in custom-engineered products and expert field services. Impacting industries across the globe, ProcessBarron focuses on safety and technical advancement to ensure high-quality products to its customers. The company has partnered with nexAir for bulk gas since February of 2024. Because of nexAir’s consistent and reliable service over the past year, ProcessBarron trusted nexAir to provide a solution when it encountered an emergency repair.

ProcessBarron relies on a seamless supply of its 90/10 argon and carbon dioxide gas mix for its everyday operations – manufacturing and repairing industrial fans, paper mill equipment, and fuel, ash, and air handling equipment. However, an unprecedented environmental event damaged the fill line, disrupting the gas supply and impeding production. When informed of the situation, the nexAir Territory Manager immediately called the cryogenics department and devised a plan.

Within two hours, the Cryogenics Team arrived on-site with the needed materials. The nexAir team kept ProcessBarron’s operations running smoothly with backup cylinders while they went to work on the bulk tank’s fill line. Three supplementary safety measures – extending and repositioning the fill line as well as adding bollard guards around the area – were installed to reinforce the line’s security from surrounding conditions. The Territory Manager stated, “Cryogenics and Branch Operations responded at a high level of urgency to service ProcessBarron’s tank as the nexAir team knows just how vital a consistent supply is to our partners. The Cryo Team immediately put together the necessary parts for the repair and developed a backup plan to ensure minimal disruption and a safe, compliant resolution that will continue to support ProcessBarron in the future.”

This all-around team effort between nexAir and ProcessBarron ensured a rapid fix that increased both safety and efficiency for the company. In just three hours the ProcessBarron team was back to operations as usual – with the backup cylinders and same-day response time creating significant cost savings in labor and materials.
