Automation Prepares Savannah Tank and Equipment
Late Summer of 2024, Savannah Tank met with the nexAir Territory Manager and Gas Specialist to discuss a switch to microbulk tanks from cylinders for increased efficiency. During the walkthrough, the Savannah team mentioned the impact of the labor decline and an interest in moving toward automation. nexAir’s Productivity Specialist promptly visited the facilities with a cobot to demo production capabilities in its manufacturing process. After a majorly successful trial on Savannah’s equipment, the company opted to purchase the recommended machine.
The nexAir team collaborated with Savannah to train its team in achieving optimum results on the new system. Moreover, they suggested a 98-2 argon to carbon dioxide gas blend, personalizing the machine to the company’s specific needs. Stated by the Territory Manager, “This situation reinforces how our entire team strives to find significant value add solutions for customers. Our job at nexAir is to analyze your methods, help you grow your abilities, and prepare you for the future.”
Now projected to save $50,000 annually in labor costs along with that of the gas switch, Savannah Tank and Equipment is primed for upcoming industry trends and experiencing a streamlined production process – meeting its dedication to provide specialized solutions for its customers in the chemical, paper, industrial, energy, and environmental sectors. The Savannah team shares, “The cobot is filling the exact role that we wanted it to. We have rewritten our procedures to account for the new system, and it is already contributing to revenue.”
