Fuel Gas Overview

Fuel Gas Overview

There’s no arguing with the fact that the world runs on fuel. For each specific purpose in the manufacturing, producing, transportation, testing industries — a suite of gases is required to keep things running.

nexAir offers top quality products and services like equipment, tools, machinery, automation, training, and gases. In this article we’ll take you through the breadth of our product range in gases and the industries we serve.

Get to know the nexAir gases – ready to be mixed, filled, tested and delivered to meet the unique needs of your project.

Why We Prioritize Fuel Production

Whether they’re used for welding and cutting, power for transportation, or heat treating applications, fuel gases belong to a specialized group and they serve different functions.

The gases are used to generate heat energy and are mostly made up of hydrocarbons, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and oil vapors.

At nexAir we want to create an incredibly diverse product line and deliver these gases, essential to so many operations across the board to our partners. And we do this in bulk as well.

Not just that, but we provide excellent customer service and training so that your team feels confident in what they do and can Forge Forward without any worry!

Fuel Gases We Supply

We offer a wide range of fuel gases. Whatever your company or industry needs — whether its bulk or one time use, we’ve got you covered. Our team of chemists and professionals is also ever ready to take you though safety training and proper management of gaseous resources.

Here are the different fuel gases we provide.

Hydrogen

Hydrogen (H2) is an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas that emits an invisible, clean flame when burned. This gas is lighter than the surrounding atmosphere. Hydrogen is the only non-carbon fuel gas with the highest thermal conductivity of any gas, making it the perfect gas for many different sectors and their needs.

Acetylene

Commonly used in the heating process, acetylene (C2H2) is a colorless gas that is less dense than air. It is a byproduct of the reaction between calcium carbide and water.  Acetylene is one of the hottest and also most effective fuel gases used in a wide range of industries.

Propane

Together with butane, propane is a key component of liquid petroleum gas (LPG). Propane (C3H8) is a colorless, highly flammable liquified gas with the least flammability range of any commonly available fuel gas. It is obtained as a component of natural gas by refining and treating natural gas.
