nexAir acquires Air Liquide liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice facilities in Millington, Tennessee

by | Jan 27, 2016

Memphis, Tenn. (Jan. 27, 2016) – Memphis-based nexAir, one of the largest distributors of atmospheric gases and welding supplies in the United States, today announced that it has purchased Air Liquide’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice facilities located in Millington, Tennessee. The transaction closed and nexAir assumed operations of the Air Liquide facilities earlier this week. The organization’s five employees will join nexAir’s Tennessee operations. nexAir will operate this business through nexAir Carbonic, a wholly-owned subsidiary of nexAir.

“We are looking forward to working with our new team members who will help us build nexAir’s dry ice offerings,” said Kevin McEniry, CEO at nexAir. “We are eager to begin serving our new customers and extending our Carbonic offerings across a broader geographic footprint.”

This acquisition increases nexAir’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice offerings to the Mid-South. The company’s existing nexAir Carbonic facility in Brandon, Mississippi already supplies dry ice to various food production and distribution facilities, healthcare clinics, research facilities, pharmaceutical companies, universities and labs, among others. Air Liquide’s customers at these facilities will be served by nexAir Carbonic and these additional facilities will grant new customers across a larger area access to the company’s seasoned expertise. In addition to its knowledge of industrial and specialty gases and welding supplies, nexAir has supplied customers with dry ice for the last 15 years.

nexAir will spend the coming month converting the Air Liquide facilities to nexAir Carbonic locations, implementing nexAir’s culture of safety and efficiency and serving customers in the manner they have come to expect from nexAir. For more information, please visit nexair Carbonic.
